Please allow me a moment to introduce you all to Our Man Russell, friend, fellow expatriate, partial compatriot, gentleman, scholar, and for one momentous day, the key figurehead presiding over the festive union of Melissa and Dieter. Though not ordained or affiliated with any legally registered or spiritually commissioned office, Russell possesses many advantages over a conventional priest, shaman, minister, lama or sea captain. For, unlike any of the aforementioned, Russell actually knows us.
To those of you that have not yet had the pleasure of personally meeting Mr. Russell Alan Davis Jr., allow me to describe for you the particular cut and character of our Officiant Extraodinaire:

- He is a solid man, figuratively and, for the most part, literally.
- He charges a commanding presence, but never overbearing.
- He is a serious man. He is an irreverent man.
- He is probably kind to small animals (we have no evidence to the contrary).
- He bellows from the diaphragm, a necessary skill for the occasion at hand.
And though these are all good reasons for choosing him to preside over our most momentous day, we feel his best qualifications are his generous and enthusiastic nature. For a day we will never forget, Our Man Russell will without a doubt deliver a wonderful address and help us tie our proverbial knots with incredible style.
